This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only. No hard drive is included. Because we have a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or HDD repair. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will correct your drive by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most WD PCBs contain a ROM memory chip that holds unique drive-specific data required for proper operation; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If soldering or chip transfer is feasible, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
