This listing is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we stock many PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Important: many hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in the ROM "memory" chip that is required for correct operation. That ROM data must be transferred to the replacement board (or the ROM chip physically moved) for the drive to work. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can often move the chip. For customers spending $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
