This listing is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: hard drive repair and data recovery. Important: most hard drive PCBs include unique system data stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the swap.
