This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Most WD circuit boards store unique configuration data in the ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer, a local computer technician can usually transplant the chip.
