This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. We maintain a large stock of PCBs, so the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery situations. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most HDD circuit boards contain a unique ROM "memory" chip whose data is required for correct drive operation; the ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
