Item is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock many of these PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm compatibility by consulting our Donor Matching Guide and follow the Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide to determine whether a replacement PCB will resolve your issue. Many PCBs store unique drive parameters in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
