Product is the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive included. Pictures are for reference; because we stock large quantities, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before ordering, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs include unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for the drive to operate correctly. That ROM or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
