This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We stock a large number of PCBs, so the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and checking compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive circuit boards contain a unique ROM "memory" chip whose contents are required for correct operation; the ROM chip or its data must be moved or copied to the replacement board. If the chip can be transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform the task. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
