This listing is for the hard drive PCB (logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Due to a large inventory, the specific circuit board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These replacement boards are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board; if the chip can be moved physically, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant.
