This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large quantity of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will address your problem by using our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most hard drive circuit boards store unique information in the ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
