This sale includes the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These circuit boards are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB is likely to resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many PCBs store unique drive-specific data in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for normal drive operation. The ROM chip or its firmware must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
