Sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we have a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the picture. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery procedures. To determine whether replacing the circuit board will resolve your problem, follow our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide. Confirm compatibility by consulting the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to operate properly. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For customers with purchases of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
