This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for use in data recovery and HDD repair, this PCB can be a direct replacement when compatible. To confirm that swapping the PCB will resolve your issue, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs store essential, unique data in a ROM (memory) chip; that information is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
