This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no HDD or enclosure is included. We hold a large inventory, so the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery use. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB is likely to resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many WD PCBs store unique drive-specific settings in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip (or its contents) must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: either transplanting the original ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
