This listing is for the hard drive PCB (logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Important: most hard drive PCBs store unique information in the ROM (memory) chip that is required for the drive to function. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved to the new PCB, a local computer technician should be able to perform that procedure. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
