This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we have large quantities in stock, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique, drive-specific information stored on a ROM ("memory") chip; that data is required for the drive to function properly. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant.
