This listing is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we have a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may look slightly different from the photo. These replacement PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Most drive PCBs store unique calibration and configuration data in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip (or its contents) must be transferred to the replacement board — a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant if the chip is removable.
