This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We hold a large quantity of PCBs in stock, so the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Most hard drive circuit boards contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for correct drive operation. That ROM chip, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board; if the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the swap. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
