Item is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will solve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and checking compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for normal drive operation. You must either transfer the ROM chip to the replacement board or transfer its data onto the new PCB. If possible, a local computer technician should be able to move the chip for you. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers moving the ROM chip to the replacement board or reprogramming the replacement PCB with the correct ROM data.
