This sale is for the hard drive circuit board / logic board (PCB) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We keep a large inventory of these PCBs, so the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Most replacement boards contain a unique ROM ("memory") chip that holds essential drive-specific data; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to operate correctly. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant.
