This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the actual board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended for data recovery and HDD repair, this PCB may help restore a malfunctioning drive when properly matched and adapted. Most HDD circuit boards contain a unique ROM ("memory") chip with essential drive data; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board for correct operation. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include complimentary adaptation service, which covers either relocating the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
