This listing is for the hard drive circuit board / logic board (PCB) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of similar PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before ordering, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide. Check compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: many PCBs store unique drive-specific data in the ROM memory chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
