This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We maintain a large inventory of PCBs, so the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your problem by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most 3.5" WD PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM memory chip that is required for proper operation; that ROM data (or the ROM chip itself) must be transferred to the replacement board. If transferring the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the move. For customers with a purchase of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
