This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the actual hard drive is not included. Because we have a large inventory of similar PCBs, the board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in the ROM "memory" chip that is required for correct operation; that ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we include complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
