This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of replacement PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: repair or data recovery for compatible WD drives. Before purchasing, confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most drive PCBs store unique calibration and configuration in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
