This sale is for the hard drive circuit board / logic board ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we keep a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for data recovery and HDD repair, this PCB is intended as a replacement part; please use our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue. Verify compatibility by consulting the Donor Matching Guide before purchasing. Most modern hard drive PCBs store unique calibration and service data in a ROM memory chip; that data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be copied or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If the original ROM chip can be moved to the new PCB, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For customers with orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new board or reprogramming the replacement PCB with the proper ROM data.
