Due to a large inventory of PCBs, the actual board you receive may vary slightly from the pictured item. Intended use: data recovery or hard drive repair. Most hard drive circuit boards contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If transplanting the chip is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the task.
