Designed as a bolt-on replacement, it uses OE-style hangers, brackets, routing and heat shields, with no specialized fabrication or welding required.
Its washcoat and precious-metal load are designed to reduce tailpipe emissions to the level required for the vehicle application and keep the check-engine light off for emissions codes. Aluminized heat shields are included where originally equipped to protect the undercarriage from converter heat, while thick flanges, hangers and brackets provide strength.
This EPA-compliant converter is for OBDII vehicles from 1996 onward. It is not legal for sale or use in CA or CO; in NY and ME, it is legal only on EPA federal-emission-equipped vehicles. Consult your state's aftermarket converter regulations.
