Overview: The Victron MultiPlus-II merges the capabilities of the MultiPlus and MultiGrid into a single inverter/charger. It includes the full MultiPlus feature set plus an external current transformer option for PowerControl and PowerAssist functions. External current sensing (max. 32A) can be used to improve self-consumption. The unit also incorporates MultiGrid features such as built-in anti-islanding and holds an expanding list of country approvals. (Note: briefly marketed as MultiGrid-II.) PowerAssist & PowerControl: The MultiPlus-II prevents overload on limited AC sources (for example shore power or a generator) by first scaling back battery charging when an overload is imminent; if needed, it will then supplement the AC source by supplying additional power from the battery. Energy Storage Systems (ESS): This model is a central component for Victron ESS installations. It can be paired with MPPT Solar Chargers or grid-tied PV inverters.
