Multi-Stage Mechanical and Biological Filtration: Four filter sponges with different densities capture suspended solids, sediment and organic debris. The filter operates under pressure and uses an internal cleaning rod to dislodge trapped dirt. Easy Backwash and Maintenance: A top-mounted twist switch activates a backwash to flush internal contaminants. When the floating turbidity indicator rises, it signals it’s time to clean the sponge—no need to open the vessel. The crank handle assists cleaning with the included internal rod, and both sponges and the UV bulb are replaceable for ongoing upkeep.
