The head contains an opening with a pawl that engages the serrations as the tail is pulled through, producing a ratchet lock that prevents the tie from loosening. Rated 175LB tensile strength — higher tensile strength provides greater holding power but requires greater insertion force. Ideal for industrial use, cable management and wire bundling. UV Black ties are recommended for outdoor use.
