TRENDnet TEG-10GBRJ — 10G RJ-45 Copper SFP+ Module (MSA SFP+, Shielded RJ-45)

Convert an available SFP+ slot into a shielded RJ-45 copper network port with the TRENDnet TEG-10GBRJ. This Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP+) module is MSA compliant and provides a shielded RJ-45 copper interface for multi-gigabit Ethernet over copper cabling. Performance: Supports data rates up to 10Gbps. At 10Gbps the module reaches distances up to 30m (98ft.) when used with Cat. 6a/7 cabling. It is backwards compatible with IEEE 802.3bz multi-gigabit speeds (2.5G and 5G): 2.5G/5Gbps operation is supported up to 50m (164ft.) using Cat. 5E. For 1Gbps links the maximum distance is 100m (328ft.) over Cat. 5E. Standards & Compatibility: Hot-pluggable and compatible with any MSA compliant SFP+ slot. Complies with IEEE 802.3ab, IEEE 802.3z (Gigabit Ethernet), and IEEE 802.3an (10 Gigabit Ethernet) specifications.
