What is Customer Questions & Answers?

Customer Questions & Answers lets registered customers ask product-specific questions and share answers based on their experience. Questions and answers appear after moderation.

Ask about the product itself, especially details another customer may know from using it. For example: Does this camera take good pictures in low light? How long does this laptop battery last while watching movies? Does this computer have noisy cooling fans?

What shouldn't I ask?

Posts must be product questions or answers. Do not post about shipping or delivery, availability, a specific order, customer service, or material that violates our community rules. Use our FAQ or your account for order and support help. Links and contact information are not allowed in submissions.

Experience the leap to Wi‑Fi 7 with the TP-Link Deco WB10800 (BE3600). Built for faster throughput, lower latency, improved anti-jamming and higher efficiency, this AI-driven mesh system modernizes home networking for demanding tasks like 8K video, AR/VR gaming, and large file transfers.

Lightning-fast tri-band Wi‑Fi up to 3.6 Gbps — devices can reach up to 2882 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 688 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band with 4 streams. Whole-home coverage for large residences: a 3-Pack provides seamless indoor Wi‑Fi for up to 6,500 Sq. Ft. Enhanced range and stability come from 4× high-gain antennas and 4× high-power FEMs on each unit.

Robust backhaul design: Deco WB10800’s self-developed technology supports simultaneous wireless and wired backhaul per unit. With Wi‑Fi 7 Multi-Link Operation (MLO), the system aggregates wireless and wired backhaul throughput to raise overall flow rates, reduce latency, and deliver steadier connections across wider areas.

Multi-Link Operation (MLO) further boosts throughput, cuts latency, and improves reliability for multiple concurrent devices and applications. Seamless mobility is enabled by a single unified network name and AI-Roaming: smart, self-learning algorithms keep streaming and gaming uninterrupted as you move between rooms.

Massive device capacity: support for 150+ devices lets you expand your smart home without sacrificing performance. Security and controls: TP-Link HomeShield offers network protection, parental controls, and real-time IoT security whether you’re at home or away.

Broad ISP compatibility: works with major providers including Comcast, Charter, AT&T, Verizon, Xfinity, Spectrum, RCN, Cox, CenturyLink, Frontier, etc. (a modem is required for most internet service providers). Built-in VPN flexibility: Deco can act as VPN client and server, supporting OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP/IPSec, and Wireguard VPN.

It can run VPN connections alongside ordinary internet traffic for convenience and security. Protect IoT devices with a Private IoT Network and overlay HomeShield plus WPA3 encryption to harden your smart-home ecosystem. Smart assistant support: compatible with Google Assistant for voice controls like toggling guest Wi‑Fi.

Notes: †Maximum wireless signal rates are the physical rates derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications. Connection to over 150 devices is based on laboratory test data that analyzed simultaneous connections across the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands.

Actual wireless throughput, coverage, and number of connected devices will vary due to ISP factors, network conditions, client limitations, and environmental influences such as building materials, obstacles, traffic density, and client location. Actual speeds may also be limited by the product's Ethernet WAN/LAN port rates, the network cable rating, ISP factors, and other environmental conditions.

△Use of Wi‑Fi 7 (802.11be), Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax), and features including Multi-Link Operation (MLO), 4K‑QAM, Multi-RUs, OFDMA, MU‑MIMO and BSS Color requires client devices to support the corresponding features. ‡Clients need to support 802.11k/v/r and may require additional configuration; performance will vary by client device.

Actual network speeds may be limited by the rate of the product's Ethernet WAN or LAN port, the network cable rating, internet service provider factors, and environmental conditions.
