It’s not one duck — it’s three ducks (leg and rib meat), halved, partially boned, lightly seasoned, and fully cooked. You can expect to get between 9 to 13 servings total, depending on portion size. If it’s your main protein, calculate closer to 9 servings. WHAT’S NOT IN THE PACKAGE. Hormones, antibiotics, or gluten. Today Gourmet roast duck is flash frozen, and each individual portion is vacuum sealed for premium freshness. It arrives in an insulated box with dry ice. For best results, thaw in the refrigerator overnight. Once thawed, you have options. Eat it cold. Bake it. Grill. Air fry. Don’t like washing dishes? We recommend sous vide. Just pop it in boiling water in its vacuum sealed package and heat it up. THE FLASH FREEZING DIFFERENCE. Flash freezing uses extremely cold temperatures to rapidly freeze foods. The process is much faster than traditional freezing and locks in freshness, taste, and quality by minimizing ice crystal formation. (Fast forward through the cellular-level science.) Thanks to the smaller ice crystals, the food — when thawed — maintains its structure, moisture content, and texture. PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS: If frozen, defrost in the refrigerator overnight. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Remove the bag from the bag and place it in a shallow baking pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes.If frozen, defrost in the refrigerator overnight. Over medium heat, place the duck skin side down on a rack and cook for 10 minutes. Turn the duck over and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes or until thoroughly heated. If frozen, defrost overnight. Preheat the air-fryer to 390 degrees Fahrenheit. Separate the duck half into two portions. Arrange portions on the tray so they do not overlap. Air-fry for 12 minutes.
