Erin Manning Thought in the Act Hardcover | sku-49367398

Erin Manning's Thought in the Act: The Minor Gesture is a hardcover in Movements in Philosophy Books, sku-49367398. Manning extends her work on the politics of movement to the minor gesture, a change that can go almost unnoticed while transforming relations. She considers what it means for human agency and political action, and how it can open ways of experiencing and expressing the world.

Her discussion of the neurotypical image of the human and what she calls "autistic perception" draws on Deleuze and Guattari's schizoanalysis and Whitehead's speculative pragmatism. Examples range from fashion and depression to writings by autistic people, with attention to neurodiversity and alternative politics.
