Start with 20-30 minute sessions at a comfortable setting; regular users may average 25-45 minutes after acclimating. The guidance allows 2-3 sessions per day for a specific therapy goal, such as use at the first sign of a cold, and recommends drinking plenty of water. You may not sweat during the first few sessions.

After use, leave the blanket open to air out, shower and wipe down your skin, then clean the interior. The supplied guidance says toxins are excreted in sweat. Water is usually sufficient for cleaning; diluted white vinegar and a cotton cloth are another option. Let the blanket air dry and cool before folding it into the included tote for under-bed or closet storage. It weighs 16.5 pounds.

Its insulated exterior stays at a low temperature and is described as safe for surfaces. Testing reported very low EMF at the power connection near the foot, with no reading elsewhere on the blanket or beyond 1-2 inches of the connection. The listing describes it as suitable for different body types, postpartum users and people undergoing rehabilitation therapy.
