The unit includes an aluminum guard and is adjusted on the fly with a handle-mounted rocker switch so you can change the guard position while mowing: Fully Down Position - Blocks mower discharge to stop clippings from spraying out; 1/4 Open - Permits limited dispersion while preventing clippings from traveling far; Fully Open - Retracts completely, giving access to tight spots and allowing installation of a bagger attachment.
