Tamiya Black Saratoga TAM31713 Model Kits sku-44491126

Tamiya TAM31713, sku-44491126, is a Black U.S. aircraft carrier Saratoga kit in Model Kits, listed for Men. This 1/700-scale Water Line Series model depicts the part of the ship above the waterline as it appeared during the Battle of Iwo Jima in February 1945. It has a two-part hull, a one-part flight deck extending from bow to stern, and scale Hellcat and Avenger aircraft.

The finished model is 396mm long; paint and assembly are required. CV-3 Saratoga was laid down as a battle cruiser, then reclassified during construction. Launched in April 1925 and commissioned in November 1927, the ship had an enclosed bow and a large funnel. It survived Japanese fighter strikes during the Iwo Jima operation and was later sunk as a nuclear-test target at Bikini Atoll.
