It combines an unshielded 16 AWG power pair with a shielded twisted 22 AWG data pair (16/2C + 22/1PR).
Stranded bare copper conductors, a drain wire and shielding support signal transmission and grounding; the shielded pair reduces EMI. A flame-retardant PVC jacket has a yellow stripe and includes SYSTON's EZ-PULL design for routing. The cable is ETL or UL listed for CL3R and CMR riser installations and meets FT4 flame resistance requirements for vertical runs between floors.
Compatible equipment listed includes Lutron GRAFIK Eye 3000, 4000 and QS; LCP128; Softswitch128; Quantum; HomeWorks Interactive and QS; Energi Savr Node; Sivoia QS wired and wireless; and Contract Series. It also supports Crestron installations using Cresnet and DigitalMedia (DM).
Applications include RS-232C, RS-422 and RS-485 links, Class 2 and Class 3 low-voltage power, lighting and automation, energy management, shading and instrumentation.
