Purpose-built 16/2 control cable for fire, security and low-voltage systems. Ideal for wiring fire alarms, burglar alarms, public address systems, intercoms, telephone stations, communications, instrumentation, access control, nurse call systems and other power-limited low voltage circuits. Constructed with stranded bare copper conductors to deliver maximum conductivity and dependable performance. Plenum-rated CMP/CL3P/FT6 jacket provides the highest flame-retardant protection for installation in building plenum spaces (ceilings and enclosures used for air distribution); CMP offers greater fire performance than CMR or CM. Electrical and safety credentials include NEC: 725 & 800, UL Standards: UL 13 & UL 444, Flame Rating: NFPA 262 (Plenum), CSA-C22.2 No.2556 (FT6); the product is UL and/or ETL listed and RoHS compliant. Rated as a 300V (CL3) Class-3 power-limited circuit cable — rated at 300 volts and capable of carrying a surge of up to 300 watts — making it suitable for demanding applications while reducing shock risk.
