It has a 20mm hardened boron alloy steel shackle and a 100mm-wide hardened steel body weighing approximately 4Kg. It is widely regarded as the world's strongest production padlock and was the first to achieve the LPCB's highest rating, SR4. It is also CEN6 approved.
Dual keys operate two 6-pin cylinders, which can be keyed alike, keyed differently or master-keyed. The padlock has an electrophoretic anti-corrosion finish and anti-drill protection. An independent tensile pull test verified 24 tonnes. Its shackle detaches completely to make it easier to fit through a hasp and staple or chain; dual-key operation also allows supervised use.
