Iranophobia by Haggai Ram, Hardcover, sku-10667199

In Iranophobia, Haggai Ram examines how Israelis perceive Iran. This hardcover, listed under Middle Eastern History Books as sku-10667199, draws on political, cultural and academic sources to examine how shared histories and cultural trajectories shape the conflict alongside strategic and political concerns.

Ram argues that Israeli fears of Iran reflect domestic anxieties about Jewish Israeli ethnic and religious identity and the prevailing ethnocratic order. He also relates those fears to violence in the Palestinian territories and Lebanon in the post-9/11 world and to displaced strategic concerns during the "war on terrorism."

The book questions the familiar portrayal of Israel and Iran as inevitably polarized enemies.
