This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the drive itself is not included. Because we stock many compatible boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for hard drive repair and data-recovery work, this replacement board is intended for situations where a defective PCB is the issue. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your problem by following our hard drive Diagnostics Guide and check compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many Seagate PCBs contain critical, drive-specific information stored in the ROM memory chip; that data is required for normal drive operation and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant; alternatively the ROM contents can be reprogrammed onto the new PCB. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transferring the ROM chip to the new board or reprogramming the correct ROM data onto it.
