This listing is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB, Logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we keep a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your problem by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards store unique calibration/firmware data in the ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be moved or copied to the replacement board. If the ROM chip is removable, a local computer technician can usually transplant it for you. For customers who spend $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
