This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Important: many Seagate PCBs store unique parameters in the ROM (memory) chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
