Overview: The SPECSTAR pressurized biological pond filter delivers powerful mechanical and biological filtration with an automatic cleaning cycle and integrated 13W light. Built from durable materials and designed for easy maintenance, it fits a wide range of pond setups. Construction & Durability: Constructed from high-quality ABS, this unit is heat-insulated, sun-resistant and aging-resistant for long outdoor life. A locking-buckle design plus an IP44 waterproof rating provide weather protection and added durability. Flow & Pond Capacity: Maximum flow is 8000L/H (2110 GPH), and the filter is suitable for use with pumps up to 7000L/H (1850GPH). Recommended pond sizes are ornamental ponds up to 2113 Gallons and koi ponds up to 1057 Gallons. For installations with a pump head near 10 ft (3 meters), a pump flow of about 1800 GPH is suggested for best results. Filtration & Light Timer: Filtration uses a combination of two blue 20 PPI sponges and two yellow 25 PPI sponges to provide coarse and fine mechanical filtration. A built-in 13W lamp helps keep water clear; its lifespan is preserved by selectable timer settings of 0H, 12H, and 24H. Operation & Maintenance: A simple function switch toggles between FILTER and CLEAN modes. In CLEAN mode the motor automatically rotates to flush the sponges, and a "beep" sound signals the end of the cleaning cycle. Weekly sponge cleaning is recommended. The modular design and removable lid make routine upkeep straightforward. A lamp replacement guide and an extra lamp are included. Hose Compatibility: The package contains two black adapters and one transparent adapter to suit various hoses. Adapter sizes provided are 3/4", 1", 1¼" and 1½" and they are interchangeable. For improved performance and longevity, use an outlet hose that is at least one size larger than the inlet. Clear inlet/outlet markings on the unit simplify connections.
