In Patricia Leavy's hardcover novel Spark, sociology professor Peyton Wilde feels her inspiration fading despite her life at a liberal arts college. An invitation takes her to an all-expenses-paid seminar in Iceland, where participants are asked to answer a perplexing question. Her teammates include two neuroscientists, a philosopher, a dance teacher, a collage artist and a farmer.

The suspenseful story follows how their work, biases and sense of themselves change. It can be read for pleasure or by book clubs, and used in qualitative research and courses in education, sociology, social work, psychology and communication. Listed in All Books; SKU sku-656617906.
