The aluminum armor is up to 45 percent lighter than comparable steel MC cable, easing handling and transport. This cable is UL Classified for 1, 2, and 3 hour Through Penetration Firestop Systems. For installation, the cable is reverse-wound on the reel to simplify pulling; when using coils, pull from the inside for the easiest feed. Per the NEC and UL, anti-short bushings are not required when installing MC cable.
