The camera is built around a full-frame Exmor R CMOS 33MP sensor and powered by the BIONZ XR image processor engine for high-resolution capture and fast processing. In Log recording it delivers 15+ stops dynamic range and features Dual base ISO (800/4000) to preserve highlight and shadow detail. Flexible Log shooting modes include Flexible ISO, Cine EI, and Cine EI Quick, and the Log shooting mode for stills uses the same video post-production workflow for a unified grading process. Autofocus is driven by AI-based Real-time Recognition AF capable of tracking various objects, while AF Assist offers manual-focus support with adjustable AF transition speed and sensitivity. The viewfinder is angle-adjustable, and the camera provides a BIG6 interface. Stabilization options include Active Mode and Dynamic active Mode image stabilization. Video workflows are enhanced by the ability to import up to 16 LUT files via memory card or Creator's Cloud, an anamorphic de-squeeze display for straightforward anamorphic monitoring, and uninterrupted movie recording capability up to 4K 60p (59.94p).
