The microphone is designed for professional camcorders with dual XLR inputs and phantom power. It captures audio for field and studio production, news gathering and documentaries.
It outputs decoded left and right stereo sound; disabling phantom power on the right XLR channel allows mono operation for dual-microphone setups or isolated ambient capture. At 5.39" (137mm), it minimizes visual obstruction on handheld camcorders such as the PMW-100 and is convenient to carry for location work.
